How to get there - International flight to Santiago Chile or Buenos Aires, then Commercial flight to Cordoba
La Macarena Lodge is one of Cordoba’s oldest and most recognized hunting lodges. The lodge is a “retired” farm house that has been outfitted to meet every need of today’s hunter. You will immediately see that Paco and company have gone to great measures to ensure the comfort of his guests at the Estancia La Macarena.
Located just 90 minutes from the Cordoba International airport, the site was chosen specifically for its close location to the city of Cordoba and for its location right in the center of “Dove Country”. The lodge is surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of grain fields, and is just a few minutes away from one of the largest dove roosts in all of Argentina. This central location allows drives to the shooting areas as short as 10 minutes and no more than 30. It is common for hunters to shoot 3-4 cases per day; however the most active and aggressive shooters can shoot 6-8 cases per day. The lodge record is 5107 doves in one day using slightly over 7000 rounds.
The lodge can comfortably accommodate groups of up to 20 hunters in 10 large bedrooms, each with 2 beds and private bath. In addition each room is air conditioned, but with the mild summers of Corboba it is doubtful you will need more than the oversized ceiling fans that adorn each room. Inside the lodge there is a comfortable living area with plush couches and oversized chairs for all guests. Some hunters may want to relax around the fireplace and tell “fishing stories”, others may choose to belly up to the open bar, and I would encourage all to get a massage from the in house masseuse.
