Los Chanares Lodge Dove Hunting

Lodge Focus - Luxury High Volume Dove Hunting

How to get there - International flight to Santiago Chile or Buenos Aires, then Commercial flight to Cordoba

Inside Los Chanares Dove Hunting LodgeCompetition in Cordoba Argentina is fierce when it comes to dove lodges, but only one operation stands above others when it comes to quality of accommodations. Los Chanares defines luxury as every detail of the lodge is designed to make your stay more comfortable. The lodge was built in 2000 and has 10 suites, each with private bath and powder room. Hunters often brag about the volume of doves they see on their trips to Cordoba, but after a stay at Los Chanares you’ll be bragging about not only the hunting portion of your trip, but the detail of the lodge and the service you receive from each staff member. Estancia Los Chanares is one of the very few lodges that TRULY can boast that all hunts are done on property owned by the lodge. This gives owner David Perez the unique ability to actually control the shooting environment and manage the dove population on the property. Each year crops like sunflower, wheat and sorghum are planted specifically for dove; this gives them no reason to leave the vast farmland that the estancia rests upon. In addition each year more than 400 tons of corn is fed to the massive resident population.

The pool at Los Chanares Dove Hunting LodgeAnother feature that compliments the dove management practices at Los Chanares are the 300 shooting stands set up in strategic areas on the property. This unique feature allows the hunter to select the difficulty and in general the type of shots they will have while at the stand. By moving from stand to stand over the course of hunts the shooter can practice on the shots that need work, or perhaps select and area where the dove are lower and slower to improve his percentages. Regardless of the stand each hunter is guaranteed to find a truly unique dove hunting experience and see endless waves of dove traveling from roost to feeding grounds in the morning, and feeding grounds to roost in the afternoons.

In the warmer southern months after a hard day of shooting you may want to relax on the spacious deck or take a dip in the large pool to stay cool. In the milder winter months you might chose to have a drink sitting by the one of the fireplaces on the patio. For the non hunters day tours of Cordoba are Hunting at Los Chanaresavailable, as well as horseback riding, massages, facials and lots of relaxation.

Few lodges in Cordoba can be considered 5 star, and even fewer offer extremely high volume dove hunting on their own property. Because of this Los Chanares fills up quickly. Without exaggeration it is encouraged that you begin planning your trip 6-8 months in advance.
